Sana'a: The "Greatest Messenger" football tournament, organized by the Youth and Sports Office and the Education Sector in Hamdan district, Sana'a governorate, concluded on Thursday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament was held in commemoration of the Prophet's birthday under the theme "At Your Service, O Messenger of Allah." The final match, which featured 12 competing teams, took place in Haz and Iblas squares, culminating in a decisive encounter between the Martyr Al-Sammad team and the Martyr Al-Ghammari team. The Al-Sammad team emerged victorious with a 2-1 win.
With this victory, the Al-Sammad team secured the top position in the tournament, while the Martyr Al-Ghammari team was the runner-up. The event saw attendance from key figures including the directors of the Youth and Sports Office in the Directorate, Muhammad Al-Khalqi, and the Martyr Saleh Al-Sammad School, Hadi Sharhan, along with activity supervisors and officials from the participating teams. They praised the technical skills displayed by both teams and emphasized the importance of such activities in fostering teamwork and developing a comprehensive sports personality among the youth.
