Sana'a:An expanded meeting of mosque preachers, school principals, neighborhood leaders, and local officials took place in the Hamdan District of Sana'a Governorate. The gathering was held under the Quranic verse, 'March forth, whether light or heavy,' in support of the leadership's decisions and the operations of the armed forces.
According to Yemen News Agency, Mohammed Al-Dawlah, Director of Neighborhood Affairs in the governorate, emphasized the significance of reinforcing mobilization efforts and supporting the fronts with fighters in defense of the country's sovereignty, freedom, and independence. He urged for continued general mobilization and heightened public awareness to counter what he termed as Saudi enemy aggression and its supporters.
During the meeting, Yemeni Scholars Association Secretary-General Taha Al-Hadari and Assistant Secretary-General Khaled Mousa advocated for coordinated efforts, ongoing mobilization, and support for the fronts with fighters and funds. They stated that the meeting aimed to enhance coordination between district leadership, executive offices, and local communities while addressing shared priorities and responsibilities.
Speakers at the meeting highlighted the role of scholars, preachers, and educators in raising public awareness, fostering attachment to the Holy Quran and the Prophet's biography, and promoting unity and steadfastness. The meeting's recommendations called on religious and educational figures to fulfill their awareness-raising duties, expose alleged Saudi abuses, and intensify public mobilization and support for the fronts.
Furthermore, they emphasized the need to draw attention to the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the war and blockade, as well as the plight of Gaza and the Palestinian people. The recommendations also urged preachers to counter hate speech, sectarian incitement, rumors, and misinformation, including allegations concerning attacks on Mecca and Medina, insults against the Prophet's companions, and other claims attributed to misleading religious figures.
The meeting concluded by describing the conflict as a confrontation between Yemen, subjected to aggression, and the Saudi regime and its allies seeking to undermine the country.
