Dhamar: The Head of the Appeal Prosecution in Dhamar Governorate, Judge Anan Sha'ei, inspected today the work progress in a number of prosecution offices in the governorate following the judicial recess.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit to the Eastern, Western, Financial, Traffic, Juvenile, and Appeal Prosecution offices in the governorate, Judge Sha'ei reviewed the level of discipline after the recess, mechanisms for scheduling sessions, and the work needs of the prosecution offices.
The Head of the Prosecution urged the deputies and members of the prosecution offices to double their efforts, fulfill their duties in initiating and pursuing criminal actions before the courts, supervise judicial police and prison operations to ensure the legality of procedures and the protection of rights, in addition to following up on the implementation of judicial rulings.
He emphasized the need to submit monthly reports and statistics on achievements, expedite case processing, and achieve prompt justice.
In a related development, Judge Sha'ei visited the Central Correctional Facility in the governorate, where he met with the Head of the Court of Appeal, Judge Mujahid Al-Amdi, and a number of members of the Committee for Addressing Prison Issues.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of coordination and cooperation between courts, prosecution offices, and the committee to facilitate the swift adjudication of cases involving detainees, assist indigent prisoners, and grant release to those convicted of custodial sentences who have demonstrated good conduct and behavior after serving three-quarters of their term.
