Health Council Discusses New Admission and Training Mechanisms for Medical Specialties

Sana'a: The Executive Council for the Arab and Yemeni Fellowship, Master's Programs, and Medical Subspecialties discussed on Monday new admission and training mechanisms for medical and health specializations during a meeting chaired by Health and Environment Minister Dr. Ali Shaiban. The meeting reviewed registration and admission procedures for the upcoming academic year, along with training mechanisms for each specialization track, accreditation standards for training centers, and their capacity to accommodate trainees.

According to Yemen News Agency, attendees included the Council's Secretary-General Dr. Athmar Hussein, Assistant Secretary-General Dr. Muti' Abu Arij, and coordinators of various medical specialties. The council emphasized the importance of monitoring trainers and trainees, evaluating performance regularly, and increasing attention to remote and underserved areas.

Participants also approved granting certificates after two years of graduation, launching new training programs, and offering free scholarships in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, and psychiatry.
