Inspection of Implementation of Second Phase of Airport Street Rehabilitation Project in Capital Secretariat

Sana'a: The Mayor of the Capital Secretariat, Dr. Hammoud Obad, inspected on Monday the progress of the second phase of the rehabilitation and asphalt paving project of Airport Street in Bani Al-Harith District, at a cost of 60 million riyals, funded by the local authority.

According to Yemen News Agency, Obad, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Secretariat for the Works and Projects Sector, Eng. Abdulkarim Al-Houthi, reviewed the ongoing rehabilitation works and the implementation of an asphalt layer starting from Al-Jamnah roundabout to the end of Al-Shaif tunnel, with a completion rate of 30 percent. Obad and Al-Houthi also listened to a briefing on the progress of the second phase of the project, which includes rehabilitation, the implementation of additional layers, maintenance of deteriorated and damaged sections of Airport Street over an area of 11,200 square meters.

The Mayor stressed the importance of completing the project to rehabilitate Airport Street, which is considered one of the vital and main roads in the capital, noting that the project comes within a package of ongoing projects in the capital secretariat. He urged doubling efforts and completing the project in accordance with the required technical specifications and quality standards within the set timeframe, ensuring its sustainability in facilitating traffic flow and improving the urban appearance.
