Sana'a: The General Authority for Water Resources and Facilities and its Sana'a branch organized a protest on Monday, condemning repeated insults to the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities under the slogan 'In anger for the Quran and Holy Sites and in Support of Gaza and Palestine.'

According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the protest, including Deputy Heads of the Water Resources Authority Eng. Abdulkarim al-Sufyani, Sana'a governorate representative Fares al-Kuhali, and Sana'a branch official Raidan al-Hadi, along with several department directors and employees, raised copies of the Holy Quran during the gathering.

Speakers at the event denounced repeated offenses by Americans and Zionists against the Quran, describing these actions as an expression of hostility toward Islam and its sacred symbols. The protest specifically condemned the reported burning of a copy of the Quran by American citizen Jake Lang in Michigan, labeling it a criminal act that reflects animosity toward Muslims and Islamic sites.

A statement released during the protest expressed that Yemenis are following with 'deep anger and resentment' the repeated insults by Americans and Zionists against the Quran. The statement suggested that such acts are born out of fear of the Quran and its influence.

Furthermore, the statement condemned continuous violations against al-Aqsa Mosque and called upon Arab and Islamic nations to initiate broad campaigns to boycott American and Israeli products. It also urged the staging of mass demonstrations in support of Palestine.

The participants reaffirmed Yemen's steadfast support for Gaza and the Palestinian cause, praised Hezbollah's positions, and affirmed Iran's right to respond to attacks by the United States and Israel.
