Health Office in Capital Launches Program to Enhance Pharmaceutical Care Services

Sana'a: The Health and Environment Office in the Capital Secretariat launched a program aimed at upgrading pharmaceutical care services across all districts. A consultative meeting was held with pharmacy officials in Al-Sabeen District under the slogan 'Partnership, not control. patient care is a responsibility and a trust', during which participants discussed ways to improve the legal and professional performance of private medical and pharmaceutical establishments.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, the Director of the Health Office in the Capital, Dr. Mutaher Al-Marani, called for a strong sense of responsibility and self-regulation in pharmaceutical work and for improving services provided to patients in a way that enhances public trust in the health sector, overcoming challenges caused by aggression and blockade. Dr. Al-Marani stressed the importance of adhering to official pricing, affirming that those driven solely by financial gain lose both their profession and ethical standing.

Dr. Al-Marani also highlighted the need to comply with directives issued by the office, avoid dealing in counterfeit medicines or selling government-supplied drugs, and ensure proper storage of medicines while reporting any health violations. He further confirmed that the office will take strict measures against those violating pharmaceutical laws and regulations, emphasizing adherence to professional ethics and full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
