Sana’a Secretariat Holds Workshop to Review Development Report for Al-Thawra District

Sana'a: The Planning Sector and the General Department for Development Research and Training at the Sana'a Secretariat organized a workshop to review the development report and assess the current situation of Al-Thawra District for the year 1447 AH. The workshop also presented the preparation of a three-year strategic plan and the executive plan for 1448 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop aimed to familiarize participants with models for preparing strategic and executive plans and to produce a preliminary vision for an evidence- and indicator-based development plan. It sought to review the development report and verify the accuracy of data in coordination with executive offices, involving the development team, representatives of cooperative associations, and general mobilization committees.

The Director of Planning at the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development, Abdulmalik Al-Mutahhar, reviewed the technical aspects related to plan preparation, emphasizing the importance of adhering to scientific methodologies and linking them to local priorities.

The Head of the Planning Sector at the Secretariat, Dr. Abdulwahab Sharaf Al-Din, explained that the preparation of the report and the strategic plan is being conducted through a participatory approach among various stakeholders, affirming the continuation of work to complete reports for the remaining districts according to a phased plan. He noted that the Al-Thawra District workshop is part of a series of workshops targeting all districts to review data, address gaps, and produce an accurate report that contributes to building effective development plans that meet citizens' needs.

The Director of Training at the Municipality, Abdullah Al-Kawl, emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and updating data to reflect the actual needs of citizens, noting that such workshops contribute to enhancing the efficiency of local leadership and strengthening integration between strategic and executive plans.

Deputy Head of the Planning Sector at the Municipality, Hatem Al-Hanash, also stressed the importance of enhancing coordination among various entities to improve the quality of development reports and plans.
