Hodeidah: The Health and Environment Office in Bajil District alongside Bajil Central Hospital in Al-Hodeidah Province organized a protest stand on Sunday to show solidarity with the people of Gaza and the Palestinian nation. The protest was held in response to the ongoing massacres and crimes of genocide and starvation attributed to the American-Zionist enemy against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

According to Yemen News Agency, the protest was led by Director of the Health Office, Mehran Al-Hassani, Deputy Director of Bajil Central Hospital Ali Al-Sarraji, and several medical and health staff. Mohammed Ma'afa, the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the district, characterized the ongoing violence, siege, and destruction of health infrastructure in Gaza as war crimes. He emphasized that the silence from the international community allows these atrocities against children and women to persist.

Participants of the protest condemned the attacks on residential neighborhoods, hospitals, and displacement camps in Gaza, viewing these actions as part of a systematic attempt to exterminate the Palestinian people. They expressed solidarity with Gaza's residents, asserting that their humanitarian and professional obligations require them to support the oppressed and expose the occupation's crimes to the world.

The protestors called for an end to the aggression, lifting of the siege, and the free entry of food, medicine, and medical supplies. They urged international and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their responsibilities concerning the Palestinian people's plight.

A statement by Mukhtar Jibaa, Deputy Director of the Health Office in the district, condemned the targeting of health facilities and blocking of medicine entry by the Zionist occupiers, labeling these acts as violations of international law. The statement described the starvation policy in Gaza as a war crime and held the U.S. administration accountable due to its support for the occupation.

The protestors emphasized that the siege and blocked aid deepen the humanitarian crisis, threatening countless lives. The statement urged for the crossings to be opened unconditionally and for regular relief convoys to be dispatched.

The statement concluded by calling for widespread Arab, Islamic, and popular efforts to support the Palestinians, advocating for intensified activities until the siege is lifted and freedom and independence are achieved.
