Hodeida: Cultural and oratorical evenings were held across several districts in Hodeida governorate on Sunday to commemorate the upcoming anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, in Hodeida city, residents of Al-Salam Al-Gharbiyah, Al-Muhraqah, and Al-Ahwad neighborhoods organized a joint event. First Hodeida undersecretary Ahmad Al-Bishri addressed the gathering, highlighting the Prophet's stature in the hearts of the Muslim nation and emphasizing the Mawlid as an opportunity to reinforce spiritual values and emulate prophetic guidance.
In Al-Zaydiyah district, residents of the Ibn Jamil sector in Al-Atawiyah sub-district (Uzlah) hosted an evening focused on lessons from the Prophet's biography (Seerah), underscoring the importance of promoting compassion and social solidarity within the community.
Similarly, an event in Al-Qaryah sub-district, Al-Salif district, highlighted the deep historical connection between the Yemeni people and the Final Prophet, reflecting on the role of Yemenis in supporting the Islamic message throughout history.
In Al-Qanawis district, a cultural gathering in Al-Maqa'ashah sub-district examined the spiritual significance of the Mawlid, stressing the need to integrate prophetic principles into daily life.
In Bayt Al-Faqih district, an evening was held in the Al-Ghawadir area of Al-Taraf Al-Yamani sub-district, attended by Assistant Deputy Governor Mutahar Al-Hadi alongside local officials and community leaders. Speakers noted that celebrating the Prophet's birth embodies devotion to his teachings and reinforces justice, mercy, and benevolence.
In Al-Hali district, the District Security Directorate held an oratorical evening attended by Deputy Governor Mohammad Hlaisi, Deputy Governor Security Director Col. Sari Al-Maghrabi, District Director Muayyad Al-Muayyad, District Security Director Lt. Col. Mansour Al-Uqaili, and Mobilization Official Nabil Al-Wajiya.
Across all events, speakers emphasized the historical and spiritual importance of the Mawlid, noting its role in strengthening national identity, steadfastness, and unity.
