Muscat: The Central Committee for Prophet's Birthday celebrations in the Hodeida governorate convened an expanded meeting on Monday to discuss the mobilization committees' activities for the upcoming occasion at both the governorate and district levels.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Hodeida first undersecretary Ahmed Al-Bishri, undersecretaries Mohammed Halisi and Ali Kabari, and General Mobilization representatives. The discussions focused on the progress being made in preparation for the Prophet's Birthday celebrations on 12 Rabi' Al-Awwal.
Directors of executive offices and government agencies were also present to review the official and community roles in emphasizing the significance of the occasion. The meeting highlighted how the event serves as a unifying moment for the Yemeni people, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Islam and the life of the Prophet.
Hodeida's first undersecretary encouraged the mobilization committees to actively participate in commemorating the Prophet Mohammed's Birthday. He emphasized the Yemeni people's resilience in facing contemporary challenges by adhering to the Prophet's example.
The undersecretary stated that mobilization for the occasion signifies a strong connection to the Prophet, his values, and his life of resistance. He described jihad in the path of Allah as essential for protecting the nation and its religion, and for maintaining its dignity among nations.
The meeting also underscored the importance of leadership, supporting the Yemeni Armed Forces, and mobilizing popular support across the governorate to break the siege and end aggression. There was a call to encourage jihad and address the negative impact of subservient regimes.
Speakers at the meeting addressed the responsibilities of all stakeholders in ensuring the success of the Prophet's Birthday celebrations. They stressed the need for unified efforts and enhanced coordination among mobilization committees and related entities to convey the event's religious and educational message effectively to society.
