Hodeida: Dozens of employees of Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Yemen's Hodeida Governorate held a rally on Tuesday in support of the Sanaa leadership's position on what it described as the economic war and blockade imposed on Yemen. The event was attended by Deputy Governors Mohammed Hulaisi and Ghaleb Hamza, Hospital Authority Chairman Dr. Khaled Suhail, his deputies, and heads of medical departments.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants stated that the involvement of medical and service personnel in public mobilization reflects the preparedness of the country's internal front and reinforces cooperation between state institutions and the public. The demonstrators carried banners expressing support for revolutionary leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi's directives and backing for the Yemeni armed forces' efforts to end the blockade, bring the conflict to an end, and establish what they described as full national sovereignty.
Hospital employees mentioned that attempts to pressure Yemen through economic measures would fail because of public solidarity, adding that the Yemeni people would remain resilient. They also congratulated Iran on what they described as its victory over the United States and Israel, praising Tehran's support for Yemen in the face of the blockade.
The rally expressed appreciation to Iran for its "historic and courageous" role in breaking the blockade on Sana'a International Airport by operating flights carrying the Yemeni delegation to the funeral of Sayyed Ali Khamenei. It warned Saudi Arabia against continuing what it described as an economic war and restrictions affecting civilians and vital service sectors, saying continued control over Yemen's oil and gas revenues would provoke a decisive response.
The rally declared general mobilization and full readiness across the hospital authority's facilities, pledging to maintain a high level of technical, administrative, and medical preparedness to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services while supporting broader mobilization efforts. It also called on hospital staff to maintain discipline and readiness and urged Yemenis across the country to unite in confronting what it described as foreign occupation and efforts to reclaim Yemen's sovereignty and resources.
