Muscat: The Iranian Embassy in Sana'a: received a large number of mourners on Tuesday, offering their condolences on the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
According to Yemen News Agency, a number of state officials, members of the Cabinet, Parliament, and Shura Council, as well as judicial, political, military, and security leaders, joined representatives of organizations and parties, prominent social figures, tribal sheikhs, and dignitaries in offering their condolences to the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Yemen, Mohammad Rezaei. They extended their sympathies to the Iranian people and the entire Muslim world on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
During the visit, attendees, including the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, expressed their deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the leadership and people of Iran. They praised Ayatollah Khamenei for his prominent roles in critical junctures faced by the nation and commended the Islamic Republic's steadfastness in confronting global powers, notably America and Israel, while supporting causes like the Palestinian struggle.
The mourners highlighted Iran's humanitarian role in breaking the siege on the Yemeni people, recalling the historic act of sending the first Iranian plane to break the blockade on Sana'a International Airport. They affirmed Iran's sacrifices for the advancement of just causes and emphasized its support for the resistance in Gaza, Palestine, and Lebanon.
The visitors reiterated their resolve to confront the forces of arrogance, expressing Yemen's solidarity with Iran against global powers like America and Israel. In response, the Iranian Ambassador expressed gratitude for the condolences and emphasized the strong bonds between the two countries, highlighting their shared resistance against hegemonic forces.
