Hodeida: Governor of Hodeida Abdullah Atifi on Saturday launched the new academic year 1448 AH in the districts of al-Mina, al-Hawk, and al-Hali, marking the start of school activities across the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the governor visited several schools, including Abu Bakr al-Siddiq School in al-Mina, al-Shahid al-Sammad School in al-Hali, and al-Sabah School in al-Hawk. During his visits, he congratulated students, teachers, and parents on the commencement of the new school year.
Atifi praised the strong student attendance from the first day. He emphasized the importance of education, describing it as a key front in building awareness and resilience. He stressed the need for cooperation between official and community efforts to ensure the stability of the educational process and overcome current challenges.
He highlighted the significance of education in building a modern and independent state. He urged students to continue their studies as a contribution to the nation's future development. Officials also noted efforts to improve the educational environment, including the maintenance of solar energy systems in schools to help alleviate seasonal challenges and support learning conditions.
