Sana'a: The Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control's Hodeidah branch conducted a field visit to Hays and Al-Khokha districts to restore regulatory activities and enhance product safety.
According to Yemen News Agency, the team, led by Branch Director Khalil Al-Jawfi, inspected markets, shops, and sales outlets, focusing on compliance with approved standards and the handling and storage of food products.
The visit also included awareness guidance for traders on proper food storage, handling, and compliance with technical and health requirements to protect consumers and ensure product quality.
Al-Jawfi stressed the need to verify the sources of goods and their compliance with approved standards, as well as raising awareness about boycotting products of companies supporting the Israeli entity. He said the visit aims to assess market needs, strengthen regulatory and awareness programs, and promote quality standards and consumer protection.
