Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Nabiha Nasser, and Sports Sector Undersecretary, Ali Hadban, honored the winners of the Open Recreational Cycling Championship for the 'Martyrs' Cup' held on Al-Quds Road. The event was a significant occasion, celebrating the achievements of cyclists who participated in the strenuous competition.
According to Yemen News Agency, the championship was organized by the Cycling Federation under the supervision of the Ministry and funded by the Youth and Children's Fund. The race covered a challenging distance of 62 kilometers, stretching from Al-Sarkha Roundabout to Airport Street, and attracted wide participation from various regions including the Capital Secretariat, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al Hudaydah, Aden, and Lahj.
The competition concluded with Abdulrahman Al-Aini from Aden claiming first place, Mohammad Al-Ansi from the Capital Secretariat securing second, and Radwan Mahdi, also from the Capital Secretariat, achieving third place. The award ceremony was graced by the presence of Federation President Mohammad Eidros and other notable figures.
During the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nasser extended her congratulations to the winners, reiterating the Ministry's commitment to supporting sports championships locally and internationally. She emphasized the importance of such events in promoting sports among the youth, enhancing their skills, and encouraging a spirit of fair competition.
