The national human rights commission: The crimes committed by the Saudi enemy against the people of Yemen's border areas are a flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and norms.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Commission expressed its utmost condemnation and denunciation regarding the continued targeting by the Saudi enemy of citizens' homes and farms in the border district of Shada, Sa'ada Governorate, through criminal artillery shelling.
The Commission highlighted that this relentless targeting is part of a systematic pattern of ongoing crimes committed by the Saudi enemy against the people residing in the border areas.
The Commission emphasized that the deliberate targeting of residential villages and agricultural districts with artillery shells is a direct attack on civilians and their property, which is prohibited under international humanitarian law and constitutes a war crime.
It further stated that the continuation of such actions for over four years since the so-called truce amounts to a policy of collective punishment against the residents of the border strip. This approach also violates the sovereignty of the Yemeni Republic and the sanctity of its territory.
The National Human Rights Commission holds the Saudi regime fully accountable for the crimes in the districts of Shada, Razeh, Baqim, Munabbih, Al-Dhahir, and other affected areas.
The Commission urged human rights organizations to expose these crimes and affirmed the Yemeni people's legitimate right to defend their land and sovereignty, calling for deterrence against the aggressor by all legitimate means.
