Taiz: Work on the Al-Ruba'i-Hajdah road project in Taiz has resumed under the supervision of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges, marking a significant step towards improving the infrastructure in the region. The rehabilitation and maintenance project covers a stretch from Al-Sittin Street in Al-Ta'iziyah district to Hajdah, spanning a distance of 12 kilometers.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project receives joint funding from the local authority in Taiz and the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, represented by the Roads Maintenance Fund. This initiative aligns with the government's priorities matrix and is being closely monitored by the local authority. The governorate's Public Works Office is overseeing the project execution.
The ongoing work is part of a larger 40-kilometer Al-Ruba'i-Al-Barh road rehabilitation project, with an overall budget of 750 million riyals. Engineer Bakeel Humaid, Director of the Public Works Office, emphasized that the Al-Ruba'i-Hajdah road serves as a crucial artery connecting Taiz governorate to the western coast and Hodeida governorate. The project involves repairing potholes, rehabilitating damaged sections, and maintaining the asphalt surface to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
