Ibb: Ibb and Bayda Universities signed an academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation agreement to strengthen institutional partnerships and expand collaboration in higher education, scientific research, and community service.
According to Yemen News Agency, the agreement was signed by the Rectors of Ibb University, Dr. Nasr al-Hujaili, and Bayda University, Dr. Ahmed al-Arami. It aims to foster cooperation in scientific research, develop academic programs, improve the quality of education, provide a modern learning environment, encourage scientific publication, and enhance the academic journals of both universities.
The agreement stipulates the exchange of scientific and academic expertise, particularly in medical, health, and scientific disciplines. It includes faculty exchange visits to participate in delivering lectures, conducting seminars and scientific activities, and cooperating in organizing conferences and symposia. It also encourages and supports joint research.
The agreement also included cooperation in developing curricula and study plans, granting Ibb University two master's and two doctoral scholarships for teaching assistants and faculty members from Al-Bayda University. It encompasses student exchange visits, organizing cultural and sporting activities, encouraging joint supervision of graduate theses and dissertations, and providing opportunities for teaching assistants to enroll in graduate programs.
The agreement further encompassed activating mutual supervision of medical interns, exchanging books, publications, scientific journals, and educational resources, and utilizing available medical equipment for research and studies. Media cooperation and information exchange are also part of this collaboration, aiming to improve quality indicators and academic accreditation, and raise the scientific ranking of both universities.
The Rector of Ibb University emphasized that the agreement represents a significant step towards building effective academic partnerships among Yemeni universities and reflects a commitment to unifying efforts and exchanging expertise and scientific capabilities to serve the development of higher education and scientific research.
For his part, the Rector of Bayda University explained that the agreement embodies a practical approach to strengthening integration among higher education institutions and opens avenues for cooperation in the fields of academic qualification, scientific research, and the exchange of expertise.
