Sana'a: A meeting chaired by the Deputy Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Ibrahim Al-Shami, discussed today issues related to legislation and laws concerning the trade and investment sectors. The meeting aimed to address the importance of establishing an effective and stable legal system to foster an attractive investment environment, aligning with the revolutionary and political leadership's directives and the government's efforts to support the national economy and localize domestic industries.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included key figures such as the Deputy Head of the Council of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Salah, the Director of the Federation's Arbitration Center, Dr. Mohammed Al-Mahbashi, and the Head of the Ministry's Technical Office, Judge Khaled Al-Baghdadi. The discussions emphasized the need to develop legislation related to commercial and investment activities to achieve legal stability and enhance investor confidence.
Judge Al-Shami highlighted the Ministry's commitment to reviewing and developing legal frameworks and regulatory bylaws in line with the current phase's requirements and the state's goals of building a productive national economy. He also underscored the importance of integrating roles and enhancing cooperation among relevant entities to develop the justice system, strengthen alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, achieve prompt justice, and reduce the burden on courts.
Officials from the Chamber of Commerce expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights' dedication to strengthening partnerships with the commercial and industrial sectors. They noted that stable legislation and effective arbitration mechanisms are vital for protecting rights, encouraging investment, and facilitating the movement of commercial and industrial activities across various sectors.
Both sides affirmed the significance of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Justice and the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce.
