According to Yemen News Agency, the paper was presented by engineer Taha Al-Lawdha'i, who detailed the role of standards in ensuring compliance with technical requirements. This compliance is crucial for reducing risks associated with substandard materials and for protecting lives and property.
The paper also advocated for cooperation among relevant authorities, manufacturers, suppliers, and engineering offices to ensure compliance throughout all construction stages. It highlighted the role of standards in enhancing local products, increasing competitiveness, strengthening consumer confidence, and decreasing reliance on imports.
