Ibb: Cultural and commemorative events were held on Tuesday in several districts of Ibb Governorate to mark the anniversary of Prophet Mohammed's birthday. The events were organized by executive offices and branches of institutions in the districts and localities.
According to Yemen News Agency, the events were organized by the Endowments offices in Al-Qafr District; the Zakat office in Al-Radmah; the Economy, Industry and Investment, Telecommunications, Postal Services, and Cleaning Fund offices in Ba'dan; the Education sector in Mudhaykhirah; the Cleaning Fund in Al-Nadirah; and a joint event involving the Public Works, Taxation and Cleaning sectors, as well as the Finance, Information, Water Resources and Initiatives offices in Al-Makha-dir.
Events were also held in Dalal locality in Ba'dan, in coordination with the Public Works branch; Al-Azhoor locality in Al-Sabrah; and Anamer Al-A'la locality in Jiblah. The events featured poetry, chants, and traditional songs expressing joy over the birth of the Prophet, as well as speeches emphasizing the importance of commemorating the occasion, reflecting on its spiritual and moral significance, and strengthening ties to the Prophet's life and righteous example.
The speakers noted that the Yemeni people are preparing to participate in the central celebrations marking the Prophet's birthday on the 12th of Rabi' Al-Awwal, describing the occasion as an opportunity to strengthen faith-based identity and reinforce values of love and emulation of the Prophet. They highlighted the deep relationship between the Yemeni people and the Prophet, recalling references in his biography to the status, faith, and wisdom of the people of Yemen and the great significance of their embracing Islam, which brought joy to the Prophet.
The speakers stressed that commemorating the Prophet's birthday should go beyond celebrations and be translated into practical conduct reflecting his values, particularly compassion, solidarity, brotherhood, justice, patience, and steadfastness, thereby strengthening social unity and cohesion. They also called for following the Prophet's example in unifying ranks, rejecting division and discord, and strengthening the unity of the Yemeni people in confronting challenges and alleged plots targeting their security and stability. They affirmed that adhering to the values and principles brought by the Prophet is fundamental to building a cohesive society capable of overcoming difficulties.
