Ibb University Hosts Symposium on September 21 Revolution’s 12th Anniversary

Ibb: The Faculty of Education and the Center for Computer and Information Technology at Ibb University organized an intellectual symposium titled "September 21 Revolution: True Goals and Real Achievements," commemorating the 12th anniversary of the revolution. The event took place on Sunday and saw the participation of university leadership, academic deans, and faculty members.

According to Yemen News Agency, University Rector Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili spoke at the symposium, emphasizing the national gains achieved since the September 21 Revolution. Dr. Al-Hujaili highlighted the revolution's impact on ending foreign tutelage, its support for the Palestinian cause, and its focus on opposing the Zionist entity. He underscored the critical role educational institutions play in fostering national awareness among students and linking academic knowledge to national and humanitarian issues.

Nabil Al-Warafi, Assistant Secretary-General of the university, provided insights into the historical and political factors that led to the revolution on September 21, 2014. He highlighted the influence of the Quranic project initiated by the late leader Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi, noting its stance against foreign hegemony and the adoption of economic measures such as boycotts.

Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Mansour, Dean of the Faculty of Education, discussed the security conditions preceding the revolution. He cited past violence, assassinations, and instability as key drivers of the movement. Dr. Al-Mansour noted that the military actions against Yemen since 2015 had failed to achieve their objectives and praised the resilience of the Yemeni people.

Participants concluded the symposium with calls for unified support behind the revolutionary leadership. They advocated for continued mobilization and participation in the "Al-Aqsa Flood" general mobilization courses to support the fronts with personnel and resources.
