Baghdad: The Commander-in-Chief of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Mohammad Pakpour, has issued a stern warning that any future attacks on Iran will be met with a more forceful response than what was seen during the recent 12-Day War. He declared that Iran "will set hell on the aggressor" in the event of another assault.
According to Yemen News Agency, during a meeting with Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassim al-Araji on Tuesday, Major General Pakpour emphasized that despite the reliance of the "Zionist enemy" on advanced missile defense systems such as THAAD, Aegis, and naval anti-missile systems by the United States, Iran was still able to successfully target and strike its intended objectives. This demonstration of capability occurred despite efforts during the 12-Day War to destabilize Iran through targeted assassinations and incitement of chaos.
Pakpour highlighted the strategic measures taken by Iraq to manage anti-Iran groups during the conflict, urging for the complete execution of security agreements and the formation of a dedicated committee to oversee border areas. He stressed the importance of joint cooperation to contain these groups, which threaten the security of both nations.
Iraqi National Security Advisor al-Araji confirmed Iraq's dedication to safeguarding Iran's security, asserting that no hostile actions from Iraqi soil were permitted during the 12-Day War and would continue to be prevented. He underlined the mutual security interests of both countries and mentioned the establishment of a joint committee to ensure the security treaty's implementation and to avert any illegal activities.
