Muscat: The General Authority of Zakat branch in Ibb governorate held a speech event to commemorate the Prophet's Birthday under the slogan 'At Your Service, O Messenger of Allah.'
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Yahya Al-Qasimi, Director of the Governorate's Grievances Authority branch, emphasized the importance of marking the Prophet's Birthday as an occasion to reflect on the life of the Noble Prophet and to embody his principles of justice, mercy, and solidarity. He highlighted the educational and faith-based aspects of the celebration, which aim to raise awareness of the Prophet's morals and strengthen societal values such as cooperation and compassion. These values, he noted, foster a sense of responsibility toward those in need and those eligible for zakat.
Al-Qasimi advocated for the continued organization of activities and events to enhance religious and cultural awareness, reinforcing the Islamic values of solidarity and compassion. The event also saw the attendance of Majed Al-Tina, Director of the Governorate's Zakat Authority branch, and Abdul Hakim Muqbil, Cultural Sector official.
Cultural activist Dr. Mohammed Murshid addressed the audience, asserting that commemorating the Prophet's Birthday signifies a deep connection to the Messenger of Allah and underscores the occasion's religious, cultural, and educational importance to the Yemeni people. He emphasized learning from the Prophet's life and applying his values in daily conduct to promote social unity and encourage acts of generosity and care for the needy.
