Implementation of “Greatest Messenger” Voluntary Medical Camp in Al-Udayn District, Ibb

Al-udayn: The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Student Forum at Ibb University, in coordination with the Health Office and Al-Udayn General Hospital, implemented today the "Greatest Messenger" voluntary medical camp in Al-Udayn District. This initiative is part of the events commemorating the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi) for the year 1448 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, the camp provided free medical services to the district's residents, including examinations, diagnosis, and medical consultations in multiple specialties. A distinguished group of consultants, doctors, and specialists from the faculty's staff participated in the event.

The President of Ibb University, Dr. Nasser Al-Hajili, stated that the free medical camp embodies the values of solidarity, giving, and volunteer work associated with this religious occasion. He emphasized that these values are being transformed into practical initiatives that serve the community and alleviate the suffering of patients, particularly those with limited income.

Dr. Al-Hajili praised the efforts of the leadership and staff of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Student Forum, as well as the cooperation shown by the Health Office and Al-Udayn General Hospital. He affirmed that the partnership between academic and health institutions is an effective model for harnessing medical capabilities and expertise to serve citizens and enhance community healthcare.

He also highlighted the importance of continuing such initiatives and expanding their scope. Dr. Al-Hajili called for the implementation of similar medical camps in Far' Al-Udayn District and other remote areas, contributing to the delivery of specialized medical services across the governorate and enhancing the university's community role.

The camp was staffed by specialized medical teams in various fields, including general surgery, nephrology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, urology, otolaryngology (ENT), and therapeutic nutrition and infectious diseases. These teams were led by experts such as Dr. Saleh Al-Wajih, Dr. Jihad Al-Dhahiri, and Dr. Arwa Al-Qabati, among others.

A total of 600 cases from Al-Udayn District benefited from the camp's services, which aimed to provide free medical care and enhance access to health services for various segments of society.

The camp also saw the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Bashir Al-Amawi, his deputies Dr. Saif Ghabsheh and Dr. Mohammed Muqbil, the Mobilization official of the district Ahmed Al-Humaidi, the Student Forum representative Jabran Darham, and a distinguished group of consultants and specialists.
