Inauguration of Central Veterinary Clinic and Pharmacy in Ma’awia District

Taiz: The Central Veterinary Clinic and Pharmacy was inaugurated today in Ma'awia District, Taiz Governorate, as part of the projects funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the governorate, targeting multipurpose agricultural cooperative associations.

According to Yemen News Agency, the project aims to enhance animal health services, improve livestock production efficiency, and uplift the livelihoods of farmers and livestock breeders across the governorate's districts. During the inauguration, Abdulwasi Al-Shamsi, Deputy Governor of Taiz for Development Affairs, emphasized that the clinic's opening is a significant step within the participatory development program seeking to expand veterinary services to various areas of Ma'awia District and the governorate at large.

Abdulsalam Hashim, Director of Ma'awia District, expressed gratitude to the local authority leadership for their attention to agricultural and service projects in the district. Hussein Al-Rashidi, Director of the Agricultural Projects Financing Unit, explained that operating the clinic and activating the role of animal health workers form a fundamental pillar for protecting livestock wealth, while providing veterinary services at affordable costs.

He added that the clinics are not limited to offering treatment alone but also include spreading community awareness about animal care and vaccination, contributing to maintaining herd health and achieving economic returns for farmers.
