Sana'a: In the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem, where history intermingles with faith, the Israeli enemy continues to dig a new tunnel extending from Al-Buraq Square to Jaffa Gate, passing under the Moroccan and Sharaf Quarters, this tunnel paves the way for further obliteration and distortion, threatening what remains of the Holy City's features.
According to Yemen News Agency, Jerusalemite researcher Fakhri Abu Diab sees this tunnel as a dangerous link in an integrated Judaization project, he asserts that it extends over half a kilometer and includes Talmudic paths and tourist centers aimed at reshaping visitors' awareness and presenting a false narrative about Al-Quds's history.
But what is more dangerous, he says, is that the excavations have begun to leave visible cracks and fissures in the buildings of Al-Aqsa Mosque, threatening its structure and exposing it to the risk of collapse in the near future.
Abu Diab warns that the Zionist entity is exploiting the world's preoccupation with its aggression against Gaza to continue its silent war on Al-Quds, both underground and above ground, with massive budgets and direct government support, he believes that the tunnel is not merely an infrastructure project, but a battle over identity, aimed at stripping Al-Quds of its Arab and Islamic spirit.
Today, the excavations are no longer just a passing news item, but an alarm bell ringing in the conscience of the nation and the world. Every new tunnel is a stab in the back of Jerusalem's memory, and every stone removed paves the way for the destruction of a rich history and a shared human heritage. Nevertheless, Jerusalemite voices continue to call for help, demanding an Arab, Islamic, and international stance to halt this absurdity before the face of the Holy City is erased from existence.
