China: A number of service and development projects in the fields of education, health, and water were inaugurated in Beit Al-Faqih District of Al-Hodeidah Governorate. These projects were implemented and completed within the framework of community initiatives across villages and sub-districts of the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the projects included the inauguration of Arfa Girls' School, consisting of six classrooms along with an administrative office and sanitary facilities, at a cost of 30 million rials. In addition, modern laboratory equipment was provided to the health unit in Al-Majrab Al-Khadariya Al-Jarouba village, valued at 200,000 rials.
The inaugurated projects also addressed citizens' water needs in Al-Tarf Al-Yamani sub-district through the operation of the Al-Ghawanim water project with an integrated system and pumping unit costing three million rials. The Al-Muradifa water project was also launched, including the construction of a vital water reservoir and its accessories, at a cost of 9.5 million rials.
During the inauguration, District Director Hussein Sahl Zain praised the level of implementation and integration of these service projects in the villages of Al-Tarf Al-Yamani sub-district. He noted that they contribute significantly to improving the educational process, providing a suitable environment for female students, and ensuring access to clean drinking water for citizens, while also meeting essential healthcare needs for the district's residents.
Following the inauguration, media activists and implementers of community initiatives were honored with awards and certificates of appreciation from the local authority, in recognition of their efforts in the success of the service projects and the first Tihama Mango Festival. Businessman Saad Muawada was also honored for his prominent role and generous support of the festival.
