Martyrs Foundation Launches Sacrificial Animal Project for 18,000 Families Across Provinces

Sana'a: The Martyrs Foundation launched today the Eid sacrificial animal project for the year 1447H, targeting 18,000 of the poorest families of martyrs across the provinces at a cost of 190 million Yemeni riyals.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Head of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs Families, Saleh Hamza, explained that the project is one of the seasonal projects that the foundation is keen to implement annually, recognizing its responsibility towards the poorest families of martyrs in various provinces. He highlighted that the project is an affirmation of loyalty to the great sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of Allah and in defense of the homeland, dignity, and sovereignty. Hamza emphasized that caring for the families of martyrs is a religious, national, and moral duty.

Hamza affirmed that the foundation works according to a humanitarian vision that seeks to reach the most needy families, contributing to alleviating their suffering and bringing joy to their hearts during the blessed days of Eid. Meanwhile, a member of the Shura Council, Yahya Al Mahdi, praised the pioneering role played by the Martyrs Foundation in adopting and implementing humanitarian and service projects targeting the families of martyrs, especially in light of the difficult economic conditions the country is experiencing due to the ongoing blockade and aggression.

He considered the project an aspect of loyalty and returning the favor to the families of martyrs who gave their dearest possessions for the sake of Allah and in defense of the homeland, affirming that caring for the families of martyrs is a collective responsibility in appreciation of the immense sacrifices that created epics of steadfastness and resilience. At the launch, attended by the Executive Director of the Foundation, Hassan Jaran, the Director General of the Branch of the Authority for the Care of Martyrs Families in the Capital Secretariat, Mohammed Al Afif, explained that the project represents the least that can be done for the families of martyrs who made the greatest sacrifices for the sake of Allah and the homeland.

He appreciated the efforts of all those who contributed to supporting and making the project a success, including benefactors, supporters, field committees, and cooperating bodies in the provinces and districts. In turn, members of the Council of Scholars and Learners, Sheikh Mohammed Al Matari, Sheikh Jaber Al Razami, and Sheikh Saleh Al Kholani, affirmed the importance of caring for and looking after the families of martyrs, considering that among the greatest forms of loyalty and benevolence to those who gave their lives in defense of religion and the homeland.

For his part, the project officer at the foundation, Al Muqtadir Billah Al Murshidi, explained that the implementation of the project will be through two tracks: the first is in-kind distribution, which is the main track in most provinces, and the second is cash distribution in remote and distant areas that are difficult to access, ensuring that the project reaches all targeted families. The financial officer at the foundation, Ibrahim Sharaf Al Din, also explained that the implementation of the project comes within the framework of an integrated coordination plan between the foundation, its branches in the provinces, and its representatives in the districts, to ensure that Eid sacrificial animals are delivered to the poorest families of martyrs with ease.

He affirmed that the foundation is making great efforts to expand the scope of seasonal projects and humanitarian services provided to the families of martyrs, in appreciation of their sacrifices, steadfastness, and resilience.
