Taiz: The Executive Director of the Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization, Abdullah Al-Atfi, inspected the workflow at Al-Raheeda Customs Center in Taiz Governorate. During his visit, Al-Atfi evaluated the operations of the center and reviewed its various departments.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Atfi was briefed by Mohammed Saeed, the head of the regulatory center in Al-Raheeda. Saeed provided insights into the performance of the inspection, examination, and administrative and technical auditing departments. He also outlined the challenges faced by the technical teams and the measures taken to enhance oversight efficiency and expedite transaction processing in response to increasing cargo movement.
Additionally, Al-Atfi held discussions with the Director of Al-Raheeda Customs, Mohammed Al-Jabri, focusing on strengthening coordination between the center and the customs authority. They explored updating inspection procedures and improving electronic integration to facilitate the entry of goods while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
The Executive Director commended the efforts of the center's staff, acknowledging their role in protecting markets from counterfeit and non-compliant products. He emphasized the necessity of continued performance improvement and enhanced coordination with relevant authorities.
