Sana'a: The Acting Prime Minister, scholar Mohammed Miftah, participated in the opening of a training workshop focused on performance evaluation for leaders of the General Zakat Authority. The event was also attended by the Authority's President, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan, and Vice President Ali Al-Saqqaf.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop aimed to enhance the skills of agents and general directors in assessing employee efficiency, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting decisions related to promotions and training programs. This initiative is part of a broader effort to transition the General Zakat Authority into a model institution and improve the quality of its institutional performance.
During the opening session, Miftah commended the Authority for its accomplishments in Zakat collection and distribution, and its service to the impoverished. He emphasized the necessity of ongoing evaluation and specialized training to enhance transparency, credibility, and relationships with taxpayers.
The Authority's President highlighted the significance of implementing the workshop's findings to refine monthly and annual performance metrics, assess employee efficiency, and develop strategic plans and individual tasks. These steps are aimed at fulfilling the Authority's objectives and improving its practical outputs.
