Inspection of Employee Attendance & Work Discipline at Customs & Tax Authority


Sana’a: Deputy Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development for the Inspection and Evaluation Sector, Al-Ezzi Al-Hattami, inspected on Saturday the level of employee attendance and work discipline at the Customs and Tax Authority on the first working day following the Eid al-Adha holiday.



According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Hattami was accompanied by Acting Chairman of the Authority Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mahdi, Deputy Chairman Dr. Ahmed Shuraim, and a number of the Authority’s leaders during his visit. The inspection focused on reviewing workflow, performance, and the nature of operations across several departments, facilities, and divisions, as well as assessing employees’ commitment to official working hours.



He commended the high level of attendance and discipline demonstrated by the Authority’s staff on this first day back to work, emphasizing that it reflects the awareness and commitment of both employees and leadership to adhering to official working hours and facilitating transactions related to citizens.



Al-Hattami stressed the importance of redoubling efforts and overcoming challenges to enhance performance, improve the quality of work, and strengthen the Authority’s role in a manner that meets the aspirations of citizens and the target public.



For his part, the Acting Chairman of the Authority praised the Ministry of Civil Service’s efforts in monitoring employee performance across state institutions and facilities. He affirmed the commitment of the Authority’s leadership and staff to improving administrative and functional performance.
