Inspection of Medical Services and Readiness Enhancement at Al-Khawkhah and Hays Hospitals

Hodeidah: The two undersecretaries of the Ministry of Health for the Health Administration and Quality Control Sector, Dr. Abdulwahab Saad, and Hodeidah Governorate for Services Affairs, Mohammed Hulaisi, along with the head of the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Hodeidah, Dr. Khaled Suhail, inspected the level of medical services at Al-Khawkhah and Hays hospitals.

According to Yemen News Agency, the inspection team, accompanied by Dr. Ali Al-Haddad, director of the Health Office in the governorate, and deputies of the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority, Dr. Abdullah Zuhairi and Dr. Abdo Obeid, reviewed the departments of Al-Khawkhah Hospital. They assessed the needs for medical and technical cadres and capabilities. During the visit, a handover process occurred between the previous medical team and a new team from the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority, ensuring the continuity of medical services at the hospital.

Al-Khawkhah Hospital was further supported with two ambulances equipped with full medical facilities to address emergency and ambulance needs, enhancing the speed of response and case transfer. In addition, the team conducted a field visit to Hays Hospital to evaluate medical services and assess the hospital's readiness for future requirements.

The team discussed the implementation of an integrated medical camp at Hays Hospital, scheduled for next Monday. The camp will involve necessary medical and technical staff, supplies, and equipment, determining services based on patient and visitor needs.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health commended the role of the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority in supporting hospitals and health facilities in liberated districts by providing staff, equipment, and capabilities. Undersecretary Hulaisi appreciated the Authority's interest in health facilities on the western coast and the importance of field visits for assessing service realities and health priorities.

Dr. Khaled Suhail, head of the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority, explained that the visits were part of efforts to monitor health services and address the need for staff and resources. He emphasized the Authority's commitment to enhancing its presence in health facilities in liberated districts, providing support based on field needs, and coordinating with the Ministry of Health to identify health priorities and ensure ongoing medical service provision.
