Inspection Street Maintenance Project in Center of Ibb Gathers Momentum

Sana'a: The Secretary-General of Ibb Governorate Local Authority, Amin Al-Warafi, inspected the progress of the routine street maintenance project in the center of the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, Al-Warafi was accompanied by the Director of the Public Works Office, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shami, and the Internal Audit Officer at the Governorate Office, Mohammed Al-Madwahi. Engineer Khalid Al-Salahi, the Director of the Executive Unit for Road Construction and Maintenance, provided a briefing on the project's progress. Funded by the local authority, the project has a total cost of 143 million riyals and has reached 30 percent completion.

The Secretary-General emphasized the governorate's prioritization of road maintenance projects due to their role in improving traffic flow and serving citizens. He praised the engineering teams' efforts and stressed adherence to specified technical standards to ensure sustainability and quality. The project is part of a comprehensive plan by the local authority to enhance road conditions in the governorate.

Al-Warafi also reaffirmed the local authority's commitment to executing projects according to approved schedules, which will contribute to enhancing the city's appearance, facilitating citizen mobility, and supporting commercial activity.

The Director of the Public Works Office stated that the office continuously monitors maintenance work on streets in the governorate center and districts. He underscored the importance of addressing technical observations and preparing the road network to ensure user safety and improve service levels for the community.
