Sana'a: A meeting was held on Wednesday in Sana'a, chaired by the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment, Mohammed bin Ishaq, to discuss the executive plan for developing and enhancing resources for the current year. The plan is based on a strategy aimed at stimulating the investment environment, expanding the scope of exemptions and incentives granted to projects.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting addressed key investment-related issues, with a focus on expanding the base of projects benefiting from exemptions on inputs for livestock and agricultural production. Additionally, efforts will be made to increase the proportion of projects benefiting from tax exemption services and profit tax relief for projects that have begun production and operational activity, aiming for a positive impact on revenues.

During the meeting, which included heads of sectors and relevant department directors, the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment emphasized the necessity of adopting flexible policies. These policies should balance the enhancement of public revenues with unprecedented facilitation for investors. He noted that expanding the scope of exemptions serves as a strategic tool to attract both local and foreign capital while localizing industries.

Bin Ishaq affirmed the Authority's commitment to removing obstacles facing investment inflows. He expressed dedication to simplifying procedures and activating the one-stop service to ensure swift implementation. The move toward granting broader exemptions to vital and productive projects is expected to create new job opportunities and drive sustainable economic development.

The Chairman stressed the importance of coordinating efforts across all sectors and departments to implement the plan's provisions according to the set timeline. He also highlighted the need for modern technological systems in monitoring and evaluating financial and administrative performance. This approach aims to ensure transparency and improve services provided to investors, with the Authority positioned as the primary partner and key supporter of the business sector.
