Dhamar: Residents and tribes of the Jahran district in Dhamar governorate organized on Tuesday an armed tribal gathering, declaring general mobilization, preparedness, and readiness to support efforts aimed at ending aggression and blockade.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the gathering, Ahmed al-Dhurani stated that the tribal turnout reflected a response to calls for mobilization and demonstrated the awareness and readiness of the Jahran tribes to support the leadership's decisions. He said the gathering endorsed the positions and directives of Abdulmalik al-Houthi regarding efforts to end the conflict and blockade.
Al-Dhurani added that the event conveyed the tribes' readiness to support the leadership in any national tasks or options it may pursue. He also described the gathering as the beginning of a broader mobilization campaign in Dhamar Governorate, including the opening of training and mobilization centers.
For his part, Hashim al-Warith said that the tribes of Jahran were reaffirming their support for the leadership's choices and their preparedness to confront any future developments. He emphasized that the gathering demonstrated a high level of readiness to defend national sovereignty and the rights of the Yemeni people.
Al-Warith stated that the event was intended as a message of preparedness rather than a display of force, adding that continued blockade and pressure on Yemen justified raising the level of mobilization and readiness. He also said that the tribes considered genuine peace achievable only through ending the conflict, lifting the blockade, restoring rights, and enabling Yemenis to benefit from the country's resources.
In a speech on behalf of the tribes, Ali al-Qubani declared the tribes' support for the call issued by Abdulmalik al-Houthi and expressed their readiness to support the armed forces until aggression, occupation, and blockade are ended.
Al-Qubani also reiterated support for the Palestinian cause, describing it as a central issue for the Muslim world, and called for continued solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
A statement issued at the gathering, attended by local officials and community leaders, affirmed both official and popular readiness to respond to any escalation and continue mobilization efforts. The statement reiterated support for positions expressed by Abdulmalik al-Houthi during remarks marking the new Hijri year and renewed opposition to the policies of the United States and Israel.
The statement also congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran a victory in confronting the United States and Israel and stressed continued preparedness for any developments affecting the region.
Additionally, the statement announced plans for expanded mobilization activities, including training and qualification centers, military mobilization courses, demonstrations, gatherings, and exercises. It called on Yemenis across different governorates to unite and work together toward restoring sovereignty, reclaiming national resources, and achieving independence.
The statement concluded by honoring the sacrifices of fallen fighters, the wounded, and prisoners, and reaffirmed commitment to continuing efforts until the objectives outlined by the organizers are achieved.
