Sana'a: Japanese stocks declined sharply on Wednesday as investors dumped riskier assets amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. The Nikkei 225 index fell 2.3 percent to 54,963.35, heading for its third consecutive session of losses, while the broader Topix index dropped 2.44 percent to 3,680.39.
According to Yemen News Agency, all 33 sub-indexes declined, with major chip-related companies leading the losses. The oil refineries index plummeted 5.7 percent.
