Gold Prices Surge Over 1% Amid Increased Safe Haven Demand

Sana'a: Gold prices rose more than 1 percent on Wednesday, rebounding from their lowest level in over a week, which was reached in the previous session. Spot gold rose 1.6 percent to $5,168.69 per ounce by 02:49 GMT, while U.S. gold futures for April delivery increased by 1.1 percent to $5,178.40.

According to Yemen News Agency, the rise in gold prices comes as investors seek safe haven assets. In addition to gold, other precious metals also experienced gains. Silver, for instance, saw a 3.5 percent increase in spot trading, reaching $84.92 an ounce on Wednesday. This rise follows a more than eight percent drop in the previous session.
