Ibb: The joint committee from the Presidency and the Public Prosecution in Ibb governorate continued today its field visits to prisons for the release of eligible prisoners on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday anniversary.
According to Yemen News Agency, the committee, which includes Deputy Prosecutor for West Ibb, Judge Bashir Nu'man, and the Director of Prisoners and Prisons Affairs at the Grievances Redress Authority branch in the governorate, Nizar Amer, visited the pretrial detention center. During their visit, they met with prisoners and reviewed their files to ensure the cases met the conditions for pardon. As a result, the release of 52 prisoners was approved.
Judge Nu'man stated that these release procedures are in line with directives from the revolutionary and political leadership and the Public Prosecutor. He emphasized the importance of those released respecting the law and taking advantage of this opportunity.
Amer highlighted the commitment to continue field visits to release those who meet the conditions, whether through pardon for the remaining period or by bail. He noted that this initiative reflects the values of mercy associated with the Prophet's birthday anniversary.
