Hodeidah: A meeting was held today in Al Hodeidah governorate chaired by the head of the Judicial Inspection Branch for Al Hudaydah and Rima governorates, Judge Dr. Jamal Al Fahidi, to discuss the mechanism for handling urgent cases during the judicial holiday in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the head of the appellate division, Judge Abduljalil Abbas, a member of the division, Judge Ahmed Al Salimi, and a number of heads and judges of primary courts assigned to work during the holiday. Judge Al Fahidi emphasized the necessity of handling urgent cases in accordance with the law and circulars, explaining their distinction from substantive cases, and highlighted the importance of duty judges adhering to working hours to ensure prompt adjudication.
The meeting also addressed key challenges judges face while handling these cases and agreed on practical solutions to ensure procedural integrity and the achievement of justice. Additionally, the meeting reviewed a circular issued by the head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, No. 32 of the year 1447 AH, which advised against closing factories, institutions, companies, and commercial shops during case reviews, suggesting alternative measures while keeping facilities operational under court and judicial custodian supervision in accordance with legal regulations.
Participants lauded the meeting's significance in tackling practical challenges and unifying approaches, enhancing court performance and safeguarding litigants' rights.
