Sana'a: The Deputy Minister of Justice and Human Rights and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the High Judicial Institute, Judge Ibrahim Al-Shami, inaugurated the final written examinations for the academic year 1447 AH (first round) for second-year students of the 25th cohort in the Advanced Specialized Studies Department at the Institute.
According to Yemen News Agency, the launch event was attended by the Institute's Dean, Judge Dr. Mohammed Al-Shami, his deputy Judge Dr. Yahya Al-Khazzan, and several department heads and administrative staff. During the event, the Deputy Minister toured the examination halls and reviewed the lists of students sitting for the exams, noting that no absences were recorded.
Judge Ibrahim Al-Shami emphasized the importance of adhering to the teachings of the Holy Qur'an, highlighting the significance of its values in the judiciary amidst ongoing challenges. He underscored that the judiciary's spirit is rooted in Qur'anic values, and that carrying the judiciary's message is both a religious and moral responsibility before it is an official duty.
He further remarked on the essential role of the postgraduate programs at the High Judicial Institute in bolstering the judicial authority. The programs are instrumental in providing the judiciary with qualified scientific and Sharia-based professionals capable of furthering justice and judicial independence.
Judge Al-Shami also commended the Institute's leadership and its academic and administrative bodies for their diligent preparation for the examinations and for creating an environment conducive to maintaining the exams' integrity and safety.
He concluded by asserting that the outcomes of the advanced specialized studies are pivotal in nurturing a knowledgeable and competent judicial generation, committed to values that enhance justice and public trust in the judiciary.
