Taiz:The Karama Call Center for Human Rights and Development has condemned the ongoing airstrikes by Saudi forces that are reportedly targeting civilians and civilian sites in Yemen.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center issued a statement detailing incidents where Saudi aircraft targeted a civilian house in Al-Barh and the Al-Ahyuq junction in Taiz's Al-Wazi'iyah district, resulting in multiple casualties.
The statement also highlighted an attack on a foam factory in Al-Mahjar, Shamlan, SANA'A, which led to the destruction of the facility and injuries to three civilians. Additionally, airstrikes near Al-Sabeen Hospital for Women and Children caused damage to the building and panic among patients, women, and children.
The center claims these attacks violate international humanitarian law, specifically citing Articles 48, 52, and 57 of Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions. It accused Saudi forces of engaging in collective punishment and economic destruction.
Furthermore, the center condemned the killing and mistreatment of the body of a Yemeni army member in Taiz, describing the act as a grave violation of human dignity. The Karama Call Center holds the Saudi regime legally responsible for these alleged war crimes, emphasizing that such offenses are not subject to a statute of limitations.
