Launch of Damaged Gas Cylinder Replacement Program in Al-Bayda Governorate

Sana'a: The Yemen Gas Company launched today the first phase of a program to replace damaged and worn-out gas cylinders with reusable cylinders for citizens in Al-Bayda Governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the program is part of the company's plan for the year 1447 AH - 2026 AD and aims to replace three thousand cylinders as a first phase in a number of districts in the governorate. During the launch, the Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, highlighted the importance of distributing new cylinders due to their role in maintaining citizen safety and reducing risks and damages from faulty cylinders.

Governor Idris expressed appreciation for the Yemen Gas Company's efforts in maintaining and replacing damaged cylinders to mitigate accidents and ensure citizen safety. He urged citizens to adhere to instructions and attend delivery times, noting that distribution will be facilitated through the use of personal ID cards.

Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, stated that the cylinder replacement initiative is in line with the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership, as well as the government's program to replace damaged cylinders with domestically manufactured maintained ones. This initiative aims to enhance safety standards and protect citizens' lives and property.

Al-Wahidi also called on citizens to follow safety and security guidelines when installing, using, and refilling cylinders from authorized agents and locations. He encouraged the reporting of any violations and expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the local authority in Al-Bayda with the Gas Company, highlighting their role in overseeing distribution and supporting field distribution and replacement teams.
