Al-hodeidah: The northern districts of Al-Hodeidah Governorate today inaugurated the activities marking the Martyr's Annual Anniversary for the year 1447 AH with a ceremonial event held in Al-Zaidiyah District, attended by local officials and residents.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Assistant Governor for Northern District Affairs, Ghalib Hamzah, and Northern Axis Commander and Mobilization Official, Fadel Al-Dhiyani, highlighted the importance of strengthening the faith-based identity from which the martyrs drew their inspiration as they sacrificed their lives for the freedom and dignity of the Yemeni people.
Al-Dhiyani praised the martyrs' great sacrifices and emphasized the collective duty toward those who gave their blood defending the nation's security and stability, stressing that their legacy will remain immortal in the nation's memory. He pointed out that Yemen's victories and achievements were made possible through the courage and sacrifices of the martyrs, who played a decisive role in thwarting hostile plots targeting the country's identity and sovereignty.
For his part, Al-Qanaws District Director Mohammed Al-Qawzi stated that the Martyr's Anniversary is not just a symbolic occasion, but an educational and moral milestone to recall the martyrs' heroism, draw lessons of honor and steadfastness, and follow their path in defending the nation.
In his address on behalf of religious scholars, Sheikh Ali Maas expressed pride in commemorating the martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifices in confronting aggression and foiling enemy schemes. He described the anniversary as an opportunity to revive the martyrs' spirit and renew faith and resilience among the people.
The event, attended by district directors, local leaders, community figures, and mobilization officials, included poetic and choral performances honoring the martyrs' devotion and their role in defending justice.
