Launch of Outer Haima Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society in Sana’a Governorate

Sana'a: The founding and electoral meeting of the Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society was held in the Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah District of Sana'a Governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, Mohammed Najad, Director of Associations and Unions at the Governorate's Social Affairs and Labor Office, reviewed the mechanisms and organizational principles for electing the administrative body, whether through voting or nomination and voting. He also outlined the responsibilities of those present to nominate and select candidates freely and transparently, and to elect a management capable of keeping pace with development and meeting its requirements on the ground.

The local authorities in the governorate and district, along with the Social Affairs Office and development partners, affirmed their commitment to providing the necessary support for the success of the association and the implementation of projects that contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens and advancing the agricultural sector.

Najad emphasized the importance of implementing agricultural development programs encompassing crop production, livestock, water resources, and community initiatives in Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah District. He addressed the role, importance, and objectives of cooperative societies as a fundamental pillar of development in various fields, stressing the significance of cooperative work and community participation in achieving agricultural and developmental progress, in accordance with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, and the Supreme Political Council. He indicated that the work of the elected association's management would be monitored and evaluated to ensure the association's success and the achievement of its developmental goals.

For his part, the head of the preparatory committee, Abdul-Karim Al-Arshi, noted that the establishment of the association reflects the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, to advance development, promote cooperative work, and achieve self-sufficiency in various sectors, particularly agriculture and livestock.

At the conclusion of the meeting, attended by the Director of Oversight at the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Abdul Razzaq Al-Alfi, the Directors of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the district, Abdul Karim, the Head of the Agricultural Sector in the district, Fadl Al-Kabsi, the Coordinator of the Bunyan Development Foundation, Abdul Wahid Jaghman, the District Coordinator, Bazel Al-Halili, and the founding members, the administrative board was elected by vote, the association was officially registered, and its bylaws were approved.
