Sana'a: The second Scientific Week at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Ibb University was inaugurated on Tuesday. During the opening, University President Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili emphasized the importance of making the most of the scientific content presented during the week's sessions, highlighting its role in enhancing the knowledge of students across various disciplines.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Hujaili also congratulated the faculty on the Gulf accreditation of its Medicine, Surgery, and Laboratory programs and their indexing in global search engines, recognizing this as a culmination of the college's achievements in infrastructure, laboratory development, and the continuous improvement of the educational process according to international standards. He noted the faculty's top rankings among both public and private Yemeni universities.
Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Bashir Al-Amoui, stated that the Scientific Week continues the college's year-round scientific activities aimed at developing students' understanding and keeping them updated on the latest research developments across medical fields.
The first session, chaired by the faculty's vice deans, Dr. Mohammed Mansour and Dr. Mohammed Maqbil, included a lecture by Dr. Ali Al-Saya on 'Principles of Oxygen Therapy' and a lecture by Dr. Mohammed Ali Saif on 'Airway Management in Emergency Cases,' which was followed by numerous discussions and interactive interventions.
