Launch of Sixth Season of Sheikh Al-Hafiz Muhammad Hussein Amer Quran Memorization Course for Blind

Sana'a: The Noor Center for the Blind inaugurated the sixth season of the Sheikh Al-Hafiz Muhammad Hussein Amer Quran Memorization Course for the Blind, 1447 AH. During the launch, which will continue until the end of Ramadan, Fuad Naji, Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, highlighted the importance of this course organized by the Noor Center for the Blind to encourage visually impaired students to memorize the Holy Quran.

According to Yemen News Agency, Fuad Naji stated, 'Those who have lost the blessing of sight have not lost the blessing of insight and enlightenment, and these students competing to memorize the Quran are proof of that.' He praised the Noor Center for organizing such courses during the month of the Quran and for linking it to the name of one of the finest Quran memorizers and recitation scholars, the late Sheikh Al-Hafiz Muhammad Hussein Amer.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Aqabat, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, commended the efforts of the Noor Center for the Blind in organizing Quran memorization circles, preparing and supporting the blind in various fields. He emphasized the importance of these Quranic courses, which annually contribute to producing new memorizers among the visually impaired. He confirmed the ministry's annual support for this Quranic project, noting the significance of this course in helping blind students memorize the Quran during the month of Ramadan.

The launch was attended by Othman Al-Salwi, Deputy Executive Director of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, and Saleh Al-Kholani, member of the Yemeni Scholars Association. Hassan Ismail, Director of the Noor Center for the Blind, reviewed the stages of previous courses and preparations for the sixth season of Sheikh Al-Hafiz Muhammad Hussein Amer's course, which includes 100 blind students of the center wishing to memorize the Quran during the days and nights of Ramadan, with support from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Labor, the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance.

The center director expressed his gratitude for all the support provided to this course, foremost among them the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, the main supporter of the Noor Center for the Blind, all its programs and activities. He also praised all charitable individuals, governmental and community organizations who contributed to the success of the center's various activities and programs.
