Sana'a: The Mayor of the capital, Dr. Hamoud Abbad, initiated the project aimed at rehabilitating and deepening four water wells dedicated to the agricultural sector, which will be powered by solar energy. This marks the first phase of the initiative, with an estimated cost of 140 million Yemeni riyals.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Abbad reviewed the ongoing work to deepen the Al-Sayla well to a depth of 530 meters. This endeavor is part of a broader project funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in Sana'a.
