Launch of Wheat Distribution to Impoverished Families in Al-Saddah District

Sana'a: A project to distribute 3,000 bags of wheat to impoverished and destitute families was launched in Al-Saddah district of Ibb governorate, under an initiative by the Yemeni-Omani United Company for Telecommunications (YOU).

According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, CEO of YOU, explained that the project aims to foster values of cooperation and social solidarity and to support poor and needy families, particularly given the difficult circumstances the country is enduring due to the ongoing aggression and blockade. He emphasized the importance of strengthening community and humanitarian initiatives and expanding contributions to alleviate citizens' suffering, thereby reflecting the social responsibility of national institutions toward society.

For his part, the Director of Al-Saddah District, Mohammed Al-Darwani, highlighted the importance of activating community initiatives, promoting values of solidarity and compassion, caring for the poor and needy, and embodying the values of goodness and benevolence within the community. He commended this charitable initiative, noting that it reflects a spirit of social responsibility and contributes to strengthening bonds of affection and unity among community members.

Meanwhile, the District's Public Works official, Engineer Ali Nasr, described the implementation of such initiatives as a true embodiment of social solidarity values and care for the most vulnerable groups, as well as a practical translation of the leadership's directives to support charitable and humanitarian endeavors.
